Fresno, CA (February 27, 2026) - Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is proud to partner with the Consulate of Mexico in Fresno to feature the work of internationally-acclaimed artist Fernando Campos in its rotating art gallery. This traveling exhibit, recently displayed at the Consulate of Mexico in San Francisco, now brings its vibrant collection to the Central Valley, offering travelers a unique cultural experience.
The exhibit features 12 original pieces inspired by traditions from Campos' home region of San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, interwoven with the symbolism of Greco-Roman mythology. Through his mastery of oils, acrylics, and watercolors, Campos explores themes of emotional memory and the beauty of life's vital cycles.
"Fresno Yosemite International Airport is pleased to partner with the Consulate of Mexico in Fresno to present this exceptional artist, offering travelers a unique cultural experience as they pass through the airport," said Interim Director of Aviation Francisco Partida. "Being selected as one of the stops on this traveling exhibit is a testament to the artist's appreciation of the airport as a distinguished venue to showcase his work."
A highly decorated artist, Campos holds the distinction of being the first contemporary artist to have a work displayed in the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos. His accolades include first place in the María Izquierdo Biennial, and his international career has led him to exhibit at prestigious venues such as the Grand Palais in Paris, as well as galleries and consulates across Spain, Italy, and the United States.
