Cheyenne Traffic Restricted To One Lane In Each Direction Starting Monday

Starting Monday, Aug. 10, and continuing through Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, Cheyenne Avenue between Clark County-215 and Durango Drive/Rampart Boulevard will have traffic restricted to one lane in each direction while the roadway pavement is replaced. Lane restrictions will be removed at 5 p.m. each day. Motorists should expect delays. Lake Mead Boulevard and Alexander Road are recommended alternate routes for east- and westbound travel.

The roadwork will include utility lowering, milling, dense-grade paving operations, utility raising and re-striping. Work activities will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Milling and paving operations will begin Aug. 10 and will take approximately six days during the duration of the project, subject to weather and equipment availability.

Amrize, Inc. is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $2 million, funded by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada Fuel Indexing Tax. Questions or concerns? Call 702-521-5852 or email [email protected].
