New Landfill & Transfer Station Opening March 2

The existing landfill at 1624 Hannah Hill Road will close on Saturday, February 28. The new Solid Waste Transfer Station and Landfill will begin to accept waste from the public on Monday, March 2.
- The new landfill is located at 4730 TK Parkway in Axtell.
- For added convenience, the transfer station is right here in town at 6171 S. University Parks Drive. Bring your items there, and we'll consolidate and transport the waste to the landfill for you.
Each new facility includes a Customer Convenience Center where customers can quickly drop off trash, recyclables, tires, and other household waste without joining the main landfill queue.
Residential solid waste customers can drop off up to one ton (2,000 pounds) of waste at either location four times per year at no additional cost.
