Fire in Apartment Structure – 24 Valencia St.
On April 12 at approximately 7:45 p.m. firefighters responded for a fire in the laundry room at 24 Valencia Street. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and started working on removal of smoke and property preservation efforts
E52 was at scene monitoring when the apartment above the laundry room started producing moderate smoke. Captain Endaya acted quickly and called for resources back to the scene. The chase for plumbing and electrical was not properly insulated so the fire was able to skunk around under a vanity on the second floor apartment.
No conclusive cause was found.
