Across North America, Europe and the Indo-Pacific, CAFCYBERCOM surged forward in 2025, advancing cyber operations, signals intelligence and joint electronic warfare with global partners.
From North America to Europe and the Indo-Pacific,2025 was a year of momentum for the Canadian Armed Forces Cyber Command (CAFCYBERCOM). The Command strengthened cyber operations, advanced signals intelligence, and expanded joint electronic warfare, while building partnerships and training the next generation of digital and electromagnetic domain defenders.
In North America, CAFCYBERCOM protected CAF networks, enabled signals intelligence, and advanced joint electronic warfare to support continental defence. The Command reinforced digital resilience, modernized defensive cyber tools, and provided electromagnetic spectrum and intelligence expertise to CAF operations. Working with United States Cyber Command and NORAD, CAFCYBERCOM contributed to the defence of North America and partnered with federal agencies to detect and respond to cyber threats targeting Government of Canada and military systems.
In Europe, CAFCYBERCOM delivered effects on Operation REASSURANCE in Latvia. Cyber Task Force 2 supported Latvian partners in securing national networks and contributed to a multinational cyber surge that tripled threat-huntingcapacity. From late November to early December, the Command also participated in NATO's Cyber Coalition 2025, working with France's Centre d'Analyse en Lutte Informatique Défensive (CALID) to strengthen interoperability and collective cyber defence.
Across the Indo-Pacific,CAFCYBERCOM deepened cooperation with regional partners. During MASAKARI 25 in British Columbia, Canadian and Japanese cyber operators formed a combined Cyber Protection Team to conduct a threat-huntactivity within CAF systems. The Command also took part in NATO's Exercise LOCKED SHIELDS from Seoul in partnership with the Republic of Korea.
CAFCYBERCOM represented Canada at the Cyber Summit in Korea and Allied Power Exercise 2025. In early December, it co-ledthe TSUGITE Symposium in Tokyo, bringing together Canadian and Japanese military, legal, policy, and intelligence experts.
"We proved this year that we could defend forward, support our partners and hold the line in cyberspace," said Major-GeneralDave Yarker, Commander of CAFCYBERCOM. "Our strength came from our people. They are skilled, trusted, and ready when Canada calls."
Cyber defence remained an integrated effort. Across operations and exercises, CAFCYBERCOM worked alongside federal departments, provincial partners, and allied cyber forces to share intelligence, plan operations, and strengthen resilience against cyber threats.
Command Chief Warrant Officer Peter Holub said the results reflected teamwork and pride. "Our members came from different trades and provinces, but they trained together, deployed together, and delivered when it counted."
As 2025 ends, CAFCYBERCOM continues to advance cyber operations, signals intelligence, and electronic warfare. Much more took place quietly across missions, partnerships, and innovation. With its people, tools, and purpose, CAFCYBERCOM stands ready to defend Canada in the digital age.
