Celebrating Public Power Week, Celebrating Our Communities

Every October, public power utilities across the country celebrate Public Power Week, a time to highlight the benefits of community-owned electric utilities like Central Lincoln. Affordable, reliable electricity - with nearly all of it coming from carbon-free sources - is part of the story. What truly sets public power apart is people.

You'll find us lending a hand beyond the power lines, whether it's at local parades, National Night Out, Touch-a-Truck, Safety Town demonstrations, career days, or ASPIRE mentoring programs in schools. Customer Communications Coordinator Noelle Cavanaugh explains it best: "What I enjoy most about these community events is building connections - whether it's greeting familiar faces, meeting new neighbors, or sharing the excitement kids feel when they see our bucket trucks."

As a community-owned utility, we're accountable directly to you, not to distant shareholders. Guided by a locally elected board of directors, every dollar we collect goes back into providing power you can count on and supporting the people and programs that make our coastal towns special places to live.

This Public Power Week, we celebrate the privilege of serving you - our friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.

From parades to school programs, Central Lincoln employees and their loved ones are part of the communities we serve.
