Mercer County Route JJ West Honey Creek Bridge to close Feb. 16…

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan Counties. The Mercer County Route JJ bridge over West Honey Creek, near Spickard, is scheduled to close beginning Monday, Feb. 16.

Traffic Impacts: The Route JJ bridge will be closed beginning Feb. 16 through early April. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closure.

Listed below are the remaining bridges included in this project with estimated start dates:

  • Putnam County Route FF over Shoal Creek, near Livonia, scheduled to begin Feb. 23.
  • Mercer County Route E over West Medicine Creek, near Harris, scheduled to begin March 2.
  • Sullivan County Route OO over Locust Creek, near Milan, scheduled to begin May 11.
