While speaking to the media at the inauguration of the lift facility at Islamia Hospital Chiniot, Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that Pakistan offers countless investment opportunities, and in the coming years the country is expected to witness a significant increase in joint ventures, foreign investment, and new MOUs.
He said that global development has been achieved through foreign investment and technology transfer, and Pakistan too is moving towards economic stability by adopting the same model. The Federal Minister expressed hope that Pakistan's global perception will further improve in the coming years.
Speaking on national defence strategy and the military leadership, he said that strong coordination in the national security domain is essential, and the extension of the current leadership is a positive step in this direction, which will further improve the safeguarding of national interests.
Talking about the opposition and government affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that political differences are a separate matter, but for decisions of national interest, the government and the opposition must sit together to resolve issues. He said that the facilitation by the Speaker of the National Assembly is commendable, and political stability is a basic prerequisite for the promotion of investment.
Highlighting welfare and social services, he mentioned that Anjuman Islamia Chiniot has rendered valuable services in the medical field. In recent years, medical camps for eye treatment have provided care to hundreds of thousands of patients, while special camps were also set up to provide medical facilities in flood-affected areas.
He said that the facilities at the hospital and dispensary are being further expanded so that people can access better healthcare at their doorstep.
The Federal Minister also inaugurated a stretcher lift for patients at Islamia Hospital Chiniot.
