This summer, high school and college students stepped into real-world roles across CCWD as part of our internship program. Working alongside teams in water quality, engineering, water efficiency, and other departments, these interns learned about a variety of career paths in water.
In addition to the day-to-day experience, our interns participated in professional development opportunities designed to set them up for future success. Resume workshops, mock interviews, and LinkedIn trainings helped them build the skills and confidence they'll need as they take their next steps.
Many of these valuable experiences were made possible through the support of our community partners - Baywork, Jewish Vocational Services, Biotech Partners, Junior Achievement, and Contra Costa County Office of Education. We're grateful for the role they play in helping to shape the next generation of water professionals.
