Fall Foliage Paddle
Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025
Time: Participants can drop boats off beginning at 7:30 a.m. Launch begins at 9:00 a.m.
Join us for a scenic paddle through the historic Dismal Swamp and take in the stunning colors of fall from the water. This self-guided adventure begins at the Ballahack Boat Ramp and ends at the North Trailhead. Bring your paddleboard, kayak, canoe, or any non-motorized watercraft, along with a USCG-approved personal floatation device. Costumes are encouraged (but not required)-show off your fall spirit while you float.
Route: Drop off your watercraft at Ballahack boat ramp, then park your vehicle at the North Trail Head Park. A shuttle will transport participants back to the launch point at Ballahack.

Registration opens online on August 4 at 6:00 a.m. Registration fills up fast, don't miss your chance to paddle one of the most beautiful and historic waterways in the region.
