Localized Flooding Precautions

Due to this weekend's rain, several City of Mesa and privately owned retention basins are nearing capacity. With additional rainfall in the forecast, some neighborhoods may experience localized flooding.

Residents living near retention basins are encouraged to take precautions and remain alert to changing conditions.

To help protect your property, free sandbags are available at the following self-serve locations:

  • Fire Station 202 - 830 S. Stapley Dr.
  • Fire Station 209 - 7035 E. Southern Ave.
  • Fire Station 212 - 2430 S. Ellsworth Rd.
  • West Mesa Service Center - 300 East 6th St.
  • East Mesa Service Center - 6935 E. Decatur St.
  • Countryside Park - 3130 E. Southern Ave.

Please use caution when driving through affected areas and avoid crossing flooded streets.
