  1. IP addresses through 2024 - Geoff explored the data on IPv4 and IPv6 addressing in 2024, including on leasing and transfers, and suggested an outlook for entrepreneurialism and innovation in the Internet.
  2. BGP updates in 2024 - Topology, update types, and traffic engineering all affect the behaviour of the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) protocol. Geoff unpacks the types and causes of instability, to understand whether the stability of the routing system changed in 2024.
  3. Geolocation and Starlink - The mapping of IP addresses to physical places has been complicated by the growth of Low Earth Orbit satellite networks. Geoff describes the potential impact of Starlink on data used by APNIC Labs to track the Internet Service Provider (ISP) market share within a given economy.
