Creative Greensboro Invests $324,500 to Strengthen Greensboro’s Creative Community

Creative Greensboro has awarded $324,500 to 17 local arts and cultural organizations through the Sustaining Creativity: Community Partnership Grants program. The investment supports organizations that provide creative experiences, opportunities, and services to Greensboro residents.

The selected organizations represent a range of creative disciplines that provide performances, exhibitions, classes, festivals, youth programs, and other cultural experiences throughout Greensboro.

"Investing in Greensboro's creative infrastructure means investing in the people and organizations that create opportunities for residents to experience, participate in, and benefit from arts and culture," said Creative Greensboro Chief Creative Economy Officer Jocquelyn Boone. "These organizations are part of the infrastructure that helps make Greensboro a vibrant place to live, work, and connect. This investment helps strengthen their ability to continue serving our community."

Organizations were selected through a competitive review process led by members of the Greensboro Cultural Affairs Commission and evaluated based on established program criteria, including creative programming, organizational capacity, and benefit to the Greensboro community.

A list of grantees can be found at CreativeGreensboro.com. Each selected organization received a base partnership award, as well as additional funding recognizing community benefit and/or contributions to Greensboro's creative vibrancy.

The Sustaining Creativity program is part of the City's broader investment in Greensboro's creative infrastructure, helping expand access to cultural opportunities while supporting the artists, creative workers, and organizations that contribute to the City's quality of life and local economy.
