Vindman Releases Statement After Suspicious Package Sent to District Office

Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) today released the following statement after his district office received a suspicious package similar to those reported at other congressional offices across the country.

"Today, my office received a suspicious package similar to those reported by other congressional offices across the country. In response to this potential threat, our office was evacuated, and first responders from the Prince William County Police and Fire Departments, as well as federal law enforcement, were notified and responded.

"I am incredibly grateful that my staff is safe. We are working closely with law enforcement as they investigate this incident, and I want to thank the officers, agents, and first responders for their swift response.

"Political violence and threats of intimidation have no place in our democracy, and those responsible must be held accountable."
