The City of Yuma has implemented traffic restrictions at and around the intersection of 4th Avenue and 32nd Street due to a sinkhole near the center of the intersection.
City crews responded immediately and secured the area to protect public safety. Repair work is underway, and traffic control is being evaluated with the goal of maintaining access where safely possible. The repair effort is expected to extend into next week.
Current Traffic Impacts
Access to nearby businesses remains open, though motorists should expect detours and limited movements in the area. Detour signage is in place, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow all posted traffic control.
