Association Responds to New 340B Rebate Model Information Collection Request

In a July 13 letter to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), America's Essential Hospitals responded to a new information collection request (ICR) on rebate models for the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Following a previous ICR to which the association responded in April, the new ICR partially responds to feedback received on the April ICR and the March request for information on 340B rebate models.

The new ICR continues to request feedback on the estimates of covered entities burden and labor associated with complying with a rebate model for 340B drugs. HRSA maintained its estimate of burden compliance from the April ICR despite receiving significant negative feedback from covered entities. The association expressed grave concerns with HRSA's requests, provided member-supported data on the average burden of rebate participation for covered entities, and shared additional suggestions to minimize burden.
