In June 2026, the North District Community Support Unit entered into an investigation regarding drug trafficking at a residence in the William Whyte neighbourhood. Two individuals and a residence were identified.
On June 17, just before 6:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), the Canine Unit (K9), the Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems Unit (RPAS), the West District Community Support Unit, and several General Patrol units, two warrants were executed on a residence in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue. Six individuals were located within the residence at the time of the warrant execution and were arrested.
Police seized the following items during the execution of the warrant:

Sawed-off .22 calibre bolt-action rifle

Sawed-off .22 calibre bolt-action rifle with serial number obliterated

Loaded sawed-off Springfield model 67F 12-gauge pump-action shotgun

Loaded sawed-off Remington model 700-270 Winchester bolt action rifle (stolen)

9mm magazine x4 (with mag pouch)

Assorted ammunition

Brass knuckles
-
Scales
-
Drug packaging and paraphernalia

Contaminated mirror (with lines of white powder)

Totem e-bike
In addition to the above items, police also seized approximately $735 in Canadian currency as a result of searching the six individual's incident to arrest:
