Congressman Sam Liccardo Secures $22.9 Million for San Mateo County Water Infrastructure

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the House passed the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2026, which includes $22.9 million requested by Bay Area Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16) for rural water and sanitation projects across San Mateo County.

"Clean, reliable water is a basic human right-yet too many rural communities still face dry or contaminated taps because of failing infrastructure," said Liccardo. "This investment will help San Mateo County and the San Mateo Resource Conservation District strengthen critical water systems and ensure families can count on clean water flowing from their taps."
