Dear compatriots, dear guests of Belarus!
The year 2025 will be history soon. The clock inexorably ticks towards midnight. As time goes, we are moving into the future. And we know for sure what future we want to see.
First of all, we want our future to be peaceful. Peaceful and secure, and not only for Belarus. For all countries and peoples. All of us want to live and raise children under the clear sky, and to send them off into adult life with a light heart.
I am absolutely convinced that millions of people from around the globe will make such a wish at midnight. May this wish come true!
As we bid farewell to the outgoing year, we try to leave all the bad things behind and enter the new year with pure and kind thoughts. We associate many hopes with the coming year. All sorts of them.
It is a tradition. And New Year's Eve makes this moment special.
I know you will have many kind words to say to each other after midnight.
Right now, it is very important for me to tell all of you - our big Belarusian family - the main thing. I talk to everyone who is celebrating the New Year at home, visiting friends, at work, on duty, or on the road.
Thank you very much.
I am sincerely grateful to our farmers who reaped the record harvest, to people in uniform who protect our peace.
Thank you to everyone who transforms our lives - building cities and factories, developing science and advanced technologes, making Belarus clean and green, creating beauty with their talent and creativity, delighting us with their sports victories.
Special thanks to those who work with our kids, opening the doors to adulthood for them; those who, donning a white coat, care for the health of each of their patients; those who, professionally or out of love, selflessly help people in difficult life situations.
And young people must remember: Belarus is not just the pages of textbooks and old photographs. Belarus is you, your mind, and your dreams. Suggest new ideas and follow your own path. The state will help you.
Thanks to the efforts of Belarusians, 2025 was a good year for us, although not an easy one.
They tried to force us to live by someone else's laws, to divide us into "right" and "wrong," to test our strength with economic storms and political pressure, without understanding that Belarus has something that can't be taken away. This is our habit to hold together and to rely on each other.
Our opponents just can't understand that we are used to building, not destroying. Uniting, not inflaming. Talking, not shouting. And this is not a weakness - it is our strength, from our past, from ancestors.
We simply do our job with confidence. We never seek out quarrels or conflicts, but we certainly stand up for ourselves.
This is how we lived and will live.
And the rhythm of the coming years is set: it's time for concrete action of all people in their fields of expertise.
When the clock begins to chime, before you raise your glasses, I ask you, wherever you are - in Braslav or Loyev, Khotsimsk or Malorita - to think: "What will I do for my Belarus in the new year?" Make just one promise, and believe me, the country will change. The quality of life will improve.
Dear Belarusians,
Dear people of good will,
Friends,
A magical moment for innermost thoughts and personal wishes is coming.
May the eyes of your kids shine with joy, and may your children never upset you.
May our hard-working woman greet her man, who gives her support and protection, with a smile.
May you have a strong love - captivating and all-consuming. May this love help you do the incredible!
There can be no true love without love for a woman, a girl!
We have only one day a year to honor our mothers, wives, and daughters. It's time to recognize their special role in our lives and declare 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman.
Nothing more perfect than her has been created by nature!
Let's protect our women and our land, defend our future - our family, relatives, loved ones and friends from troubles and adversity.
Let there be a place in every town, in every small village, where one can, simply by remaining in silence, feel: "This is my home. This is my land. And I am not here by chance."
Happy New Year, dear Belarusians!
