Congresswoman Sheri Biggs and the National Association of Manufacturers visit Samsung in Newberry, S.C., to celebrate National Manufacturing Day

Samsung Electronics America (SEA) and Samsung Electronics Home Appliances America (SEHA) welcomed nearly 200 students from the Newberry County School District on Friday, October 3, 2025, to celebrate National Manufacturing Day at its Newberry manufacturing facility. The event showcased advanced manufacturing in action and highlighted the career opportunities available to the next generation of innovators.

Since 2019, SEHA has partnered with the district to provide hands-on learning, facility tours, and conversations with leaders about workforce development and pathways into high-demand careers.

This year's program featured remarks from Congresswoman Sheri Biggs, SEHA leadership, and educators, along with leaders from the National Association of Manufacturers:

  • Carolyn Lee, President and Executive Director of the Manufacturing Institute
  • Jody Milanese, Director, Member and Board Engagement

Students participated in guided tours of Samsung's advanced manufacturing facility, explored apprenticeship and internship opportunities, and heard directly from leaders about the role of manufacturing in driving economic growth. Each tour concluded with a group photo to commemorate the day.
