The world is entering a new era of energy demand.
Electrification is accelerating. AI and digital infrastructure are expanding at an extraordinary pace. Energy systems are becoming more connected. And our customers are looking for solutions to increasingly complex energy and thermal management challenges.
Carrier was built for this moment.
Since becoming an independent company in 2020, we have transformed Carrier into a focused global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions. Today, we combine more than a century of innovation with the speed, focus and entrepreneurial mindset needed to help solve some of the world's most important energy challenges.
And increasingly, sustainability and growth are one and the same.
More than 95% of Carrier's greenhouse gas footprint comes from the use of our products and the energy they consume. That means our greatest opportunity to make an impact is also one of our greatest opportunities to grow: helping customers use less energy, reduce emissions and operate more efficiently.
That is where we are focused.
In 2025, we reduced absolute Scope 3 emissions by 28%1 from our 2021 baseline, keeping us on pace toward our goal of helping customers avoid more than 1 gigaton of emissions by 2030. We have also invested approximately $2.1 billion in sustainable research and development since 2020, advancing technologies that address some of the most significant energy needs of our time.
We are putting that innovation to work across Carrier.
In homes and buildings, we are advancing energy-efficient connected, grid-interactive technologies that can help customers manage energy more intelligently while supporting the resiliency of the grid. Through Carrier Energy, we are piloting residential battery-enabled HVAC systems in the U.S., with the potential to unlock up to 100 gigawatts of flexible demand across North America.
Data centers are creating unprecedented demand for power and cooling solutions. Our Carrier QuantumLeap™ offering is helping customers address these challenges with advanced thermal management technologies that support reliable and sustainable operations.
And across the cold chain, solutions such as Pulsor eCool™ and Supra® HE 11 Multi-Temperature, together with our acquisition of Addvolt, are helping customers reduce fuel consumption while protecting food, medicine and other critical supplies.
None of this happens without our ~47,000 colleagues around the world.
Guided by The Carrier Way, our teams continue to innovate, execute and deliver for our customers. In 2025, our employee engagement and inclusion scores again exceeded global benchmarks, and we continued investing in training, leadership development and the workforce of the future.
That includes addressing the critical shortage of skilled HVAC technicians. In its first year, our TechVantage Initiative delivered more than 200,000 training hours to approximately 20,000 Carrier and Carrier partner technicians and sales professionals. We also contributed more than $10 million in charitable giving and, through our work with the Arbor Day Foundation, funded the planting of more than 1 million trees in the first year of our commitment to plant 5 million by 2030.
We are proud of the progress. But we are much more focused on what comes next.
We are still in the early innings of a generational shift in how energy is generated, managed and consumed. Electrification, digitalization and AI are reshaping the world around us - and creating tremendous opportunities for Carrier.
We have the people, technology, strategic focus and unrelenting grit to lead through this transformation. We will continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible for our customers and turning the world's most pressing energy challenges into opportunities for innovation, growth and lasting impact.
Because the work we do matters - for our customers, for our communities and for the world we share.
David L. Gitlin
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
1 Calculated based on our Scope 3.11 and 3.12 GHG emissions, which together account for the majority of our total Scope 3 GHG emissions. Scope 3 2025 data includes Viessmann Climate Solutions, acquired in 2024, and excludes companies divested through the divestiture date of July 1, 2026. Scope 3 historical data for 2021-2024 has been restated to align with Carrier's business portfolio as of July 1, 2026. For details on our greenhouse gas accounting, see our Greenhouse Gas Inventory.
