Wentworth Institute of Technology was recognized at the 2026 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Chapters Awards Ceremony in Orlando as a recipient of a National Housing Endowment's Homebuilding Education Leadership Program (HELP) grant.
The proposal was led by Professor Payam Bakhshi in collaboration with Professor Monica Snow and supported by Dean John Cribbs and the School of Management. The effort also benefited from the engagement of current and former Construction Management students, the Construction Management Industry Advisory Board, the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston, and the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts.
The grant supports the continued advancement of residential construction education within the Sweeney Programs of Construction Management and strengthens Wentworth's role in advancing innovation and capacity in housing delivery. Through expanded curriculum development, industry collaboration, and research initiatives, the program equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to contribute meaningfully to high-performance housing and innovation in construction methods that respond to evolving industry and community needs.
This national recognition reflects Wentworth's continued commitment to advancing education and research that directly align with industry priorities and community needs.
