IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 27, 2026 Statement from Chairwoman Amy Barela on Operation Epic Fury Albuquerque, NM - "As Chairwoman of the Republican Party of New Mexico, I strongly support the SAVE Act. Voter integrity is paramount to protecting our constitutional republic. An overwhelming 84% of Americans support requiring proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections - and they are right. Here in New Mexico, serious questions remain about citizenship verification within our automatic driver's license and voter registration systems. Without clear safeguards, public trust in our elections is weakened.
