TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - UPDATE: I-95 / Route 896 Interchange - Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) alerts motorists that there will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound I-95 from the service plaza to the toll plaza, overnight ramp closures on the Route 896 on-ramp to I-95 northbound and around-the-clock ramp closures and lane shifts on the I-95 southbound to north and southbound Route 896.
SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS
I-95 northbound from Route 896 to the service plaza - overnight lane closure for milling and paving
October 19 and October 20 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. - single lane closure
October 21 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. - single lane closure
I-95 southbound from Route 896 to the toll plaza - overnight lane closure for paving
October 22 - multi-lane overnight lane closures (single 7:00 p.m.; double 9:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.), southbound high-speed E-ZPass lanes will also be closed.
Route 896 southbound on ramp to I-95 northbound - for paving
October 19 and October 20 from 9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. - overnight ramp closure, detour will be posted.
I-95 southbound off ramp to Route 896 northbound - for concrete sealing
October 19 from 6:00 a.m. to October 20 at 6:00 a.m. - around-the-clock ramp and shoulder closure
I-95 southbound off ramp to Route 896 southbound - for concrete sealing
October 21 from 6:00 a.m. to October 22 at 6:00 a.m. - around-the-clock ramp and shoulder closure
