On 19 May 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, took part (via videoconference) in the international round table 'The Collective Security Treaty Organisation: Together for the Strengthening of International Peace and Stability', which took place at the OSCE headquarters in Vienna.
The round table was organised by the Russian Chairmanship of the CSTO. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organisations, including the UN, the OSCE, the CSTO, the CIS and the SCO, as well as the expert community.
In his address, I.Sekreta emphasised the significance of the CSTO as one of the military-political pillars of the Eurasian and global security architecture in a multipolar world.
The Deputy Foreign Minister drew attention to the upcoming 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, which has become a platform for regular discussion of topical issues of regional and global security, as well as to the Belarusian initiative to draft a Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century, which could set out the principles and parameters for the functioning of security in the Eurasian space.
The deputy head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry expressed the view that the resumption of practical cooperation between the CSTO and the OSCE would make a significant contribution to overcoming confrontation and finding joint solutions among the states of Europe and Asia to reduce tensions, restoring trust and establishing equal and indivisible security on the continent.
