Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, today unveiled "Scale without boundaries" as the theme for the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. The landmark edition of Asia's largest digital technology forum is scheduled to be held from October 7-10, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre), New Delhi.

The theme launch event was also graced by Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Communications & Rural Development as the Guest of Honour, and Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications as the Special Guest.

The theme "Scale without boundaries" reflects India's ambition to build a digital future where technology, innovation and connectivity transcend traditional boundaries and reach every sector, community and region. It underscores the need to take transformative technologies and solutions beyond experimentation and enable their widespread adoption, integration and impact at scale. The theme also highlights the importance of fostering collaboration among technology, infrastructure, industry, startups, academia, policymakers and consumers to create an ecosystem where innovation can scale without limitations and contribute meaningfully to inclusive growth and national development.

The 10th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 is anchored around four key pillars that reflect India's vision of building a digitally empowered, secure and growth-oriented future:-

  1. Srishti - Building the Future, which will focus on fostering innovation, emerging technologies and solutions that shape the next generation of digital infrastructure.
  2. Suraksha - Strengthening Trust, which will underscore the importance of secure, resilient and trusted digital ecosystems.
  3. Sashakt - Expanding Opportunities, aimed at leveraging technology to empower citizens, businesses, startups and communities while ensuring inclusive access to digital opportunities.
  4. Samvardhan - Fueling Growth, which will highlight the role of digital technologies in driving economic growth, investment, entrepreneurship, job creation and India's emergence as a global technology leader.

Together, these four pillars embody the spirit of "Scale without boundaries", reflecting the ambition to take innovation, connectivity and digital transformation beyond boundaries and enable their impact to scale across sectors, geographies and communities.

As India advances towards a digitally empowered and technology-driven future, IMC 2026 will provide a platform to explore how emerging technologies and robust digital infrastructure can enable scale across sectors and geographies. The event will spotlight the convergence of technologies such as 5G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, cloud and edge computing, satellite communications, electronics manufacturing, quantum technologies and green technologies, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, said that "India's journey in telecom has moved from connecting the next billion to enabling the next billion possibilities. The theme of the 10th India Mobile Congress, 'Scale Without Boundaries', reflects our ambition to ensure that the technologies we build, the standards we shape and the solutions we create in India reach new markets, communities and possibilities across the world."

The Union Minister further emphasised that "India is no longer only a market for technology; we are increasingly becoming a nation that designs, develops and scales technology for the world. From indigenous telecom technologies and 6G standards to digital public platforms, our journey from 'Vocal for Local' to 'Local for Global' embodies the spirit of 'Scale without Boundaries' and our vision of building a Viksit Bharat 2047."

Echoing the vision outlined by the Union Minister, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Communications & Rural Development, said that "The last 10 years has been unprecedented for Indian Telecom. IMC is an event which help us showcase to the world what India has achieved in the field of telecom. This is a place where government gets an opportunity to collaborate, startups showcase their hard work and investors find opportunities to invest."

Highlighting the significance of the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress, Shri Amit Agrawal, Chairman, Digital Communications Commission and Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), stated that "It is a privilege to be here at 10th Edition of IMC and the journey of 10 years. This time, we are going with a much larger strategy and will showcase India's progress in the field of telecom to the world."

Organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), IMC 2026 will bring together leading global and Indian technology companies, telecom operators, policymakers, startups, investors, researchers and innovators under one platform. The 10th edition will build upon the success of previous editions and further strengthen IMC's position as a premier global forum for discussions on the future of telecommunications and digital technologies.

The event will showcase cutting-edge innovations and use cases across emerging technologies, while providing a platform for technology demonstrations, product launches, industry collaborations, investment opportunities, knowledge exchange and policy dialogue. The flagship start-up programme ASPIRE will continue to provide emerging technology startups with opportunities to connect with investors, incubators, accelerators, industry leaders and potential partners.

With its 10th edition, IMC 2026 aims to move beyond showcasing technological advancements to examining how these innovations can be integrated, scaled and translated into real-world outcomes. The event will focus on building resilient and inclusive digital ecosystems that can empower citizens, strengthen industries, create new opportunities and accelerate India's emergence as a global technology leader.

Marking a decade of India Mobile Congress, the 10th edition celebrates a remarkable journey that began with the aspiration to "connect the next billion". Over the past ten years, IMC has evolved alongside India's telecom and digital transformation, providing a platform for innovation, collaboration and global engagement. As India enters the next decade, IMC 2026 looks ahead to a larger ambition - taking Indian technologies, standards and solutions beyond boundaries and connecting the next possibilities.

The previous editions of India Mobile Congress was a huge success with over 1.4 lakh visitors, 860 exhibitors, representatives from 101countries, 1,500 Use Cases showcased, 465 startups participated, featured 918 speakers across 113 sessions, including 52 keynote addresses, 12 roundtables, and 84 panel discussions.
