Cadillac Racing didn't win the 29th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, but walked away with several trophies after winning the IMSA GTP Manufacturer, Team and Driver titles.
This marks Cadillac's fifth IMSA Manufacturer title since 2017. With a substantial points lead going into the final race, only one Cadillac needed to start the race in order to lock up the title. Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing with the No. 10 (Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque and Will Stevens) and No. 40 (Jordan Taylor, Louis Deletraz and Colton Herta) entries joined with the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac from Action Express Racing (Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Frederick Vesti) in securing the championship.
Aitken, Bamber and Vesti secured the IMSA GTP Team title in No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R while Aitken also secured the IMSA GTP Driver title.
"What a tremendous result for Cadillac Racing and everyone at General Motors," said Mark Reuss, President, General Motors. "Winning the 2026 Manufacturer, Team and Driver championships is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to the strength of this entire program. Congratulations to Action Express Racing and the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen team, and especially to Jack Aitken on winning the driver championship. Jack, Earl Bamber and Frederik Vesti delivered an outstanding season, supported by an exceptional team of engineers, crew members and partners. This is a great day for Cadillac Racing and gives us strong momentum as we pursue more success next season in IMSA and WEC."
"I think for General Motors and Cadillac, it really just comes down to great partners that we had," added Dr. Eric Warren, General Motors Vice President of Global Motorsports Competition. "We had really two great teams this year. We worked on this Team Cadillac approach. Really, the consistency the Cadillac team has shown has been incredible. The performance at every track starting at Indy last year, we were talking about Cadillac, I think we've been on the podium 10 races in a row. I couldn't be more proud of the work that's been done. These cars are tough to race, the competition, different manufacturers we're racing against. It's a great honor for GM and Cadillac."
In the race, the No. 40 finished on the podium in third place, while the No. 10 finished fourth and the No. 31 finished seventh after being involved in a late accident.
The next IMSA GTP event is the 65th Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 30-31, 2027 at Daytona International Speedway.
