Dentons advises R1 on acquisition of Humata Health

Dentons served as lead health care regulatory counsel to R1, a leader in health care revenue cycle management, in connection with its acquisition of Humata Health, a leader in AI-powered, touchless prior authorizations. The transaction closed in September 2026 and marks a significant milestone toward R1's mission to have the most intelligent and integrated pre-bill architecture in the industry, advancing its AI-driven capabilities, reducing administrative friction, and improving accuracy and outcomes across the health care revenue cycle.

As lead health care regulatory counsel, Dentons advised on a broad range of complex and drew on the firm's integrated health care, corporate and technology capabilities to help R1 assess key regulatory and operational considerations associated with the acquisition.
