The foreign ministers of the EU and the Gulf countries will hold an informal video conference on 5 March. Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will represent Finland at the meeting.

EU foreign ministers will discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East with their counterparts from the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in an informal video conference.

"The situation in the Middle East needs to be de-escalated urgently. Iran's indiscriminate attacks on the Gulf countries may have unpredictable consequences far into the future. Iran must stop these attacks immediately," says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
