Marion Mayor Nick AbouAssaly will highlight the progress and forward-looking initiatives that make Marion a community where people and businesses thrive during the 32nd annual Marion State of the City address. His presentation is entitled, "City of Opportunity."
The event will be held on Monday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex, 150 1st Avenue, Cedar Rapids. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for networking.
The event is hosted by the City of Marion, and generous sponsorship support is provided by local businesses, including Alliant Energy, Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, MidAmerican Energy and Simmons Perrine PLC.
Reservations for the luncheon are $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10 and may be purchased online at
www.cityofmarion.org/SOC. Sponsored tables and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are due by Friday, Feb. 27. Advance payment serves as confirmation of the reservation.
A limited number of free, reserved seats will be available
upon request to allow individuals to attend and observe the presentation only. In addition, a recording of the presentation will be available for viewing after the event.
