Washington, D.C. - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) met by video conference on Thursday, September 17, 2026, for its final meeting of FY2026.
The Board discussed strategic and regulatory matters and received updates from MSRB staff on its retrospective rule review and modernization processes, including comments received on its RFC on draft amendments to retire financial advisory terminology from MSRB's rulebook, and the Securities and Exchange Commission's recent proposal to rescind its Advisers Act Rule 206(4)-5. The Board also received staff updates on the technology upgrade to MSRB's market transparency systems and its EMMA platform's development and deployment plans.
At the final meeting for FY2026, MSRB also prepares to say farewell to its Board members concluding their terms on September 30, 2026, which include MSRB Board Chair Natasha Holiday and Vice Chair Wendell Gaertner, as well as David Belton, Warren "Bo" Daniels, and Horatio Porter.
