Dairyland employees demonstrated the 7th Cooperative Principle, Concern for Community, by participating in the Great Rivers United Way's Day of Caring on July 15. The team supported various local organizations including: Camp Decorah, Great Rivers United Way administrative offices, Habitat for Humanity, HorseSense, Kane Street Garden, La Crosse Area YMCA, Salvation Army, The Hunger Task Force and WAFER Food Pantry.
From landscaping and yard work to assembling furniture, painting, gardening, and restocking shelves, Dairyland volunteers made a meaningful impact. As part of its total rewards, Dairyland offers a Volunteer Time Off benefit to encourage volunteerism in the communities we serve.
About the Day of Caring:
Great Rivers United Way's Day of Caring is part of United Way Worldwide's national "Day of Action," launched to engage corporate partners and kick off the community-wide giving campaign each fall. Volunteer activities include landscaping, cleaning, and client interaction, offering organizations much-needed support while fostering community connections.
