JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - U.S. Route 54 bridge over Stadium Boulevard in Jefferson City is set to narrow westbound traffic to one lane next week for repairs to the driving surface. The Madison Street on-ramp will also be closed, motorists will still be able to access the Jefferson Street ramp.
From 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, construction crews plan to repair the driving surface of the bridge, which has developed a pothole on the western end of the bridge deck. As part of this work, the ramp from Madison Street to westbound U.S. 54 will be closed. The ramp from westbound U.S. 54 to Jefferson Street is expected to remain open.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use extra caution, and follow posted s igns and traffic control devices .
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change.
