Traffic Advisory: Tri-Rail Work to Close Sistrunk Boulevard (Sept 26–30)
The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) will implement a full road closure of Sistrunk Boulevard at the South Florida Rail Corridor tracks just west of I-95 for crossing rehabilitation work.
️ Fri, 9/26, 2025, at 9:00 PM through Tues, 9/30, 2025, at 4:00 AM
⌚ Closure in effect continuously, 24 hours a day
*The work may extend through Wednesday, October 1, if delayed by weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Detour:
- Eastbound traffic will detour via NW 31st Ave/Martin Luther King Jr. Ave to Sunrise Blvd or Broward Blvd
- Westbound traffic will detour via NW 9th Ave/Powerline Rd to Sunrise Blvd or Broward Blvd
The work includes track rehabilitation, rail repairs, and crossing surface replacement to improve safety, ride quality, and resiliency.
