Shufa: Focus in Many Languages

Shufa: Focus in Many Languages is a free, interactive workshop that explores focus and connection through calligraphy. Participants of all ages write meaningful words-such as home, respect, and whānau-in different languages using shared Shufa brush techniques.

Guided by movement, breath, and rhythm, participants experience how writing can calm the mind, deepen awareness, and create a sense of presence. By sharing words from our own languages and learning from others, we discover how language can bring people together, build understanding, and strengthen community.

No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
