DURANT, Okla. - Southeastern Oklahoma State University has named OL Kelly dean of students, effective Sept. 1.
"We are incredibly pleased to have OL fill this critical role for our students and institution," said Dr. Brad Ludrick, vice president for student development. "OL relates incredibly well to students and is a powerful advocate for student voice at our university."
As dean of students, Kelly will serve as the university's chief student conduct officer, Title IX coordinator and equal opportunity officer. He also will oversee and mentor the Student Government Association.
Kelly brings more than 25 years of higher education experience in student affairs, student conduct, Title IX, housing and residence life, student engagement, admissions, recruitment and new student orientation.
Since joining Southeastern in 2021, Kelly has served as assistant dean of students, deputy Title IX coordinator and deputy equity officer, providing leadership in student conduct, civil rights investigations, student advocacy, crisis response and campus safety.
"His experience, steady leadership and deep commitment to student success make him exceptionally well prepared for this position," Ludrick said.
A Southeastern graduate, Kelly earned a Master of Education from the university in 2020. His professional recognitions include the Texas Junior College Student Government Association Texas Legend Award and Texas State Advisor of the Year Award. He also was a finalist for Southeastern's Outstanding Employee award.
