CookUnity closed 2025 with $750M ARR and more than 40M meals delivered

New York, NY - March 16, 2026. CookUnity, the meal delivery platform that connects Eaters across North America with Award-winning chefs, closed 2025 as the strongest performance year in its history, surpassing $750 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).

Over the past decade, CookUnity has built a marketplace designed to expand access to high-quality, nourishing meals for modern eaters, all hand-crafted by award-winning chefs. What began as a bold vision to bring restaurant-caliber food "beyond the confines of brick and mortar eateries" has evolved into an international platform connecting world-class culinary talent with eaters seeking convenience without compromise.

In 2025 alone, CookUnity¹:

  • Delivered more than 43 million meals, driven by 80%+ year-over-year growth
  • Served over 200,000 eaters on the platform
  • Expanded its chef network with 30 new chefs, including eight-time James Beard Award winner Marcus Samuelsson and Iron Chef Cat Cora
  • Expanded its variety to 25+ diets and global cuisines

Scaling with speed and capital efficiency

Online food is no longer an emerging trend in America - it is everyday behavior, with 62% of U.S. adults using online food retail platforms and 17% consuming a meal delivery each week². As digital dining becomes normalized, CookUnity continues expanding its footprint across North America, now operating in eight major metropolitan markets: New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Seattle, and Toronto, the first international market for the company.

Unlike traditional meal delivery services, CookUnity's innovative business model has enabled the company to scale profitably without relying on incremental fundraising. To support continued growth, CookUnity secured up to $250 million in growth financing from General Catalyst, enabling accelerated investment in customer acquisition, brand expansion, and chef partnerships.

Beyond homes and restaurants: Strategic expansion to meet consumers where they are

In 2025, CookUnity expanded beyond direct-to-consumer dining:

  • Acquired Fraîche, accelerating its B2B business and bringing meals from award-winning chefs into offices and residential buildings through smart fridge technology.
  • Acquired Flavrs, a shoppable video platform enhancing meal discovery while giving chefs new tools for storytelling and engagement
  • Partnered with Airbnb to offer CookUnity meals to guests and locals through Airbnb Services in select U.S. cities, with plans to expand to additional cities across the U.S. and Canada throughout 2026.

These initiatives reflect CookUnity's broader strategy of meeting consumers wherever they are deciding their next meal - at home, at work, or while traveling.

"We started CookUnity with a simple belief: great food should be accessible beyond restaurant walls," said Mateo Marietti, CookUnity Co-Founder and CEO. "Our model allows chefs to focus on what they do best, cooking and creating diverse menus, while we provide the sourcing, packaging, and nationwide delivery infrastructure. It's a game-changing model for culinary creators and delivers affordable, delicious meals to eaters at scale."

Real economic impact for chefs

CookUnity's model is translating into meaningful, measurable income for chefs across its marketplace. The average chef on the CookUnity platform earns approximately $850,000 annually, while top-performing chefs generate more than $7 million in revenue per year, building national businesses without requiring additional restaurant locations.

Beyond overall platform growth, CookUnity is seeing strong momentum among individual chefs who are scaling rapidly through its marketplace. In 2025, the following chefs ranked among the top 10 fastest-growing on the platform, based on total meals sold compared to 2024: Meena Sreenivas: 180% Chase Evans: 150% Marivel Rivero: 14% Aarthi Sampath: 114% John Delucie: 100%

These growth rates highlight a meaningful opportunity for chefs across cuisines, backgrounds, and career stages to leverage CookUnity as a platform to expand beyond their restaurants - reaching new audiences, deepening engagement, and building national followings while strengthening their existing businesses.

Looking ahead

Entering its second decade, CookUnity remains focused on deepening its chef marketplace offering, and continuing to evolve how premium prepared meals fit into everyday life.

"At a time of continued innovation in food and hospitality, we see enormous opportunity ahead," said Clara Fernandez, CookUnity Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer. "We are building an ecosystem where chefs can scale sustainably and eaters can access restaurant-quality meals wherever they live. This next chapter is about expanding that impact - thoughtfully and globally."
