MNPD detectives are asking the community's assistance in locating convicted felon Kevin McMillan, 38, who is wanted on 19 outstanding warrants, 17 of which are related to an August incident in an apartment complex on Rio Vista Drive where he fled from Madison Precinct officers.
McMillan was the driver of a Ram 1500 pickup truck seen selling narcotics in the complex by on-site security, who were familiar with the vehicle and had banned it from the property. As officers approached the truck, McMillan gave his deceased brother's driver's license. Officers were able to quickly identify McMillan was not his brother and when asked to exit the truck, McMillan refused. Instead he sped off and hit two marked patrol vehicles before crashing into the woods. Officers followed McMillan and his two passengers as they ran from the truck. The passengers were apprehended, but McMillan was not.
Inside the truck, officers located a Glock handgun (equipped with a switch making it fully automatic), a BB gun resembling a rifle, two loaded magazines, and drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, heroin and marijuana. McMillan's phone, his driver's license as well as his deceased brother's, and his house keys were also recovered.
McMillan was sentenced in 2007 to seven years in prison on an aggravated assault charge for shooting a 23-year-old man at a car wash on Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard in 2005 when he was 18 years old. He was also convicted of cocaine possession in 2020.
His outstanding warrants currently include aggravated assault on first responders, reckless endangerment, identity theft, evading arrest and drug possession.
Anyone with information on McMillan's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
