Construction to begin on SH-27 in Burley

BURLEY - Beginning Monday, the Idaho Transportation Department will start reconstruction of the intersection of State Highway 27 and 27th Street.

Over the next 30 days construction is expected to repave the intersection and install a new box culvert for the G Canal, new signals, curb and gutter, and sidewalk. In addition, 27th Street will be widened at the intersection to make room for future planned widening.

Drivers can expect flagging and a reduced speed limit until the intersection fully closes on February 1. Detours will be in place to route traffic around the intersection.
