On October 6-10, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Indonesia and Malaysia concurrently, Roman Romanovsky, visited Malaysia to hold a series of negotiations with representatives of government agencies and the business community of the country.
With the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Amran Mohamed Zin, a range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Malaysia, as well as plans for joint events, were discussed.
With the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato Johari bin Abdul, and the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Malaysia, Nur Jazlan Mohamed, prospects for Belarusian-Malaysian inter-parliamentary dialogue were discussed.
With the Director General of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, Sirajuddin bin Suhaimi, practical aspects of cooperation, including in the food sector, were discussed.
With the Head of the Veterinary Services Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia, Mohd Noor Hisham bin Mohd Haron, interaction between Belarus and Malaysia in the field of food security and food supplies was considered.
With the Deputy Director General of the Pharmaceutical Control Services of the Ministry of Health of Malaysia, Azuana binti Ramli, and the Director of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency of Malaysia, Wan Noraimi binti Wan Ibrahim, issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare, certification of medical products, supply of medicines and raw materials were discussed.
With the Executive Director of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lee Han Ling, agreements were reached on increasing contacts between business circles in order to expand Belarusian-Malaysian trade and economic cooperation.
