Director-General of the Department of European Affairs meets with Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Germany in Thailand

On 6 August 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanek, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, met with Ms. Ebba Scholl, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Thailand to exchange views on ways to further strengthen Thailand-Germany relations and discussed ongoing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including political and security cooperation, defence industry, trade and investment, and humanitarian demining. They also reviewed preparations for upcoming high-level exchanges, discussed opportunities to advance the Thailand-Germany partnership, and exchanged views on Thailand-European Union relations and other regional and international issues. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation and working together to further enhance Thailand-Germany relations for mutual benefit of both countries.
