Successful engagement of Serbian Armed Forces contingent in peacekeeping mission in Sinai

The Ministry of Defence announced today that members of the Serbian Armed Forces, who have been engaged in the international peacekeeping operation in the Sinai Peninsula since February of this year, have returned to Serbia after successfully completing their participation in that mission and handing over their duties to a new contingent.

The statement states that this was the fourth contingent of the Serbian Armed Forces to participate in this mission.

In the previous six months, members of our contingent, which consists of a ten-member engineering working group, have been engaged in carrying out engineering and infrastructure works in the mission camp in the southern part of the Sinai Peninsula.

They carried out all tasks responsibly and professionally, making an exceptional contribution to improving the functionality of the base and raising the quality of life of all members of the mission, for which they received recognition from the mission command.
