FOX Latin America Announces The Launch Of The FOX Channel In Central America And Strengthens Its Position In The Region

The FOX Channel will be launched in May in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama

Mexico City, Mexico., April 13, 2026 - FOX Latin America ("FOX") today announced the acquisition of the programming and local production of the Tigo Sports Channel in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.

The acquisition includes sports content and a robust portfolio of local rights, along with a production network and access to recognizable talent. This acquisition strengthens FOX's operational and commercial infrastructure in Central America, expanding its reach and deepening its connection with audiences across the region. FOX will launch four feeds and Tigo customers in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama will continue enjoying their favorite sports content, now with an even more robust offering.

The regional portfolio includes key properties such as El Salvador's Primera División and the full Panamanian Football League, plus exclusive teams from Costa Rica's Liga Promérica and Guatemala's Liga Bantrab, plus other local rights and original programs that are audience leaders with local talent, consolidating a solid Central American football offering.

The local football content offering will be complemented by FOX's international rights portfolio, which includes some of the world's most relevant leagues, such as the Premier League, the UEFA Europa League, the Bundesliga (starting with the 2026-27 season), the Saudi Pro League and Liga MX, in addition to a broad portfolio of women's football sports rights from Mexico and Europe.

In addition to exclusive football content, in Central America FOX will offer more than 800 live sports events annually across other disciplines such as professional baseball from MLB, mixed martial arts with PFL, AAA lucha libre, the NASCAR Cup Series, Formula E, WRC and WEC in motorsports and college sports from the Big Ten Conference, creating a new expansive sports offering in the region.

The acquisition is an extension of FOX's existing Latin America business, where sports fans in the region will be able to watch their favorite sporting programming on the FOX pay-TV channel in Central America and through the free Tubi AVOD platform, and in the future, on the FOX+ channel on-demand and on the FOX One direct to consumer streaming service.
