GQ Expands Men of the Year to Three Nights in Los Angeles

GQ announces its 2026 Men of the Year -the first under Global Editorial Director Adam Baidawi-headlined by a new and expanded series of live programming. The trio of events will be held on back-to-back evenings at the newly opened Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Hollywood, and the Chateau Marmont, marking the most ambitious Men of the Year celebration in GQ's history.

This year's Men of the Year co-hosts are: Chris Rock, director, writer, and co-star of comedy-drama Misty Green; Andrew Garfield, star of the highly anticipated Artificial; and Matt Damon, whose role as Odysseus in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey broke box office records this year.

GQ's Men of the Year covers will roll out throughout the week-beginning this morning, with Chris Rock-featuring exclusive conversations, video interviews, and photo shoots from across the country.

The co-hosts will be honored alongside GQ's Director of the Year Denis Villeneuve, whose Dune: Part Three is creating Oscar buzz ahead of its premiere, and Designer of the Year Michael Rider, creative director of Celine.

This year will also see the return of Breakouts, an event for the brightest new names in entertainment and culture. For its 2026 return, GQ selected honorees from across Hollywood, new journalism, comedy, and podcasts.

From Adam Baidawi, Global Editorial Director of GQ:
"This year's GQ Men of the Year honorees have delivered extraordinary performances and propelled the cultural conversation of 2026. We wanted to meet that creative ambition with some of our own. Expanding to three events in Los Angeles-something brand new to Men of the Year-gives us the space to celebrate their work, get into the ideas behind it, and introduce the talent we think everyone needs to watch next. It's an ambitious new chapter for a tradition we love."

For three decades, GQ has celebrated its biggest moment of the year with its exclusive Men of the Year party. This year, GQ is amplifying its presence in Los Angeles with three events celebrating the year's biggest headline-makers:

An Evening with Denis Villeneuve | November 10 at The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art
GQ will honor its Director of the Year, Denis Villeneuve, with a special evening takeover of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. After a champagne reception, the director will appear for a live recording of GQ's One More Question interview series alongside Senior Special Projects Editor Zach Baron. A VIP screening of Dune: Part Two will follow, leading into the release of the trilogy's finale in December.

Breakouts | November 11 at The Sheats-Goldstein Residence
For the first time, GQ will host Breakouts of the Year with a house party in the Hollywood Hills. GQ's 13 Breakouts of 2026 dominated entertainment and news across film, music, television, comedy, and podcasting. GQ will announce its 2026 Breakouts with an editorial feature on November 9.

Men of the Year | November 12 at Chateau Marmont
Men of the Year returns to the Chateau Marmont, this time with a special emphasis on the intimate Men of the Year dinner. This year, GQ's cover stars will be honored in filmed toasts delivered by special guests. The Men of The Year party will follow, attended by VIP guests from across the worlds of entertainment, fashion, sports, and culture.
