New Brunswick’s REK Initiative Returns

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (October 3. 2025) - The New Brunswick Recreation Department's Reach Every Kid (REK) initiative returns this year at New Brunswick Middle School. REK uses the public schools and the recreation center as locations for students to engage in positive and judgment-free interactions with adults. From boot camp challenges, game tournaments, mentoring, and volunteer opportunities, REK not only sparks interest in the City youth but also builds lasting relationships with REK volunteers, coaches, and mentors.The program will take place on select Wednesdays in October, November and December.For additional information or to volunteer, please email [email protected].
