Dallas ISD to host Back-to-School Kickoff

DALLAS - Join Dallas ISD for a Back to School Kickoff event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1 at Ellis Davis Field House and register for the upcoming school year.

Parents will receive on-site assistance with registration for students enrolling in pre-K through 12th grade. Students registering onsite will receive free school supplies, approved backpacks, and other services while supplies last.

Please come prepared with the following documents to complete your child's enrollment:

  • Birth certificate (new students)
  • Parent/guardian photo ID
  • Proof of address
  • Immunization record
  • Social Security card (optional)
Parents of pre-K students will also need to provide documentation to determine eligibility for pre-K (as applicable):
  • Proof of income
  • Medicaid/SNAP/TANF benefits lette
  • Foster care paperwork
  • Military paperwork
  • Star of Texas paperwork

Dallas ISD realizará celebración del regreso a clases

DALLAS - Acompáñenos en la celebración del regreso a clases el sábado, 11 de agosto, de 9 a.m. a 2 p.m., en Ellis Davis Field House e inscriba a su hijo para el próximo año escolar.

Los padres recibirán ayuda en persona con la inscripción de sus hijos de prekínder a 12.º grado. Los estudiantes que sean inscritos durante el evento recibirán útiles escolares, mochilas autorizadas y más, hasta agotar existencias.

Se requieren los siguientes documentos para completar la inscripción:

  • Certificado de nacimiento (para nuevos estudiantes)
  • Identificación con foto del padre o tutor legal
  • Comprobante de domicilio
  • Cartilla de vacunas
  • Tarjeta de seguro social (opcional)

Los padres que deseen inscribir a sus hijos en prekínder también deberán presentar la siguiente documentación para determinar si su hijo califica para prekínder. Note que no todos corresponden a cada estudiante:

  • Comprobante de ingresos
  • Carta de beneficios de Medicaid/SNAP/TANF
  • Documentación de cuidado temporal ("foster care")
  • Documentación de servicio militar
  • Documentación del Star of Texas
