'27 Nights' Will Have Its World Premiere at the San Sebastián Film Festival and Will Arrive on Netflix on October 17

Starring Marilú Marini and Daniel Hendler, with production by Santiago Mitre and Agustina Llambi Campbell (La Unión de los Ríos), it will be the opening film of the 73rd edition of the Festival on September 19 and will be part of the official competition.

27 Nights , the new Netflix film made in Argentina directed by and starring Daniel Hendler alongside Marilú Marini, will arrive on Netflix on October 17, following its premiere as part of the opening ceremony at the 73rd edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival , within the Official Section of the Spanish event.

Based on the book of the same name by Natalia Zito and inspired by a true story, it is produced by Santiago Mitre and Agustina Llambi Campbell (La Unión de los Ríos). The cast is completed by Humberto Tortonese, Julieta Zylberberg, Paula Grinszpan, and Carla Peterson.

The film tells the story of Martha Hoffman (Marini), an eccentric and wealthy patron who is admitted to a psychiatric clinic by her daughters. The expert Casares (Hendler) investigates whether this is a plan to control the mother's fortune or if Martha truly suffers from a type of dementia that threatens her integrity and that of her family.

After its run at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the film will be released globally on Netflix on October 17.

Synopsis Martha Hoffman, an eccentric and wealthy 83-year-old patron, is admitted to a psychiatric clinic at the request of her daughters, who claim she suffers from dementia. The judicial expert Casares investigates whether Martha is truly ill or if she has simply chosen to live her last years with absolute freedom, while questioning whether the admission is an act of protection or an attempt to control her fortune.
