TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Attorney General James Uthmeier announced his Office of Statewide Prosecution filed 47 felony charges against Nathan Douglas Holmberg, 36, in addition to the capital felony charges that were previously filed in Hernando County by State Attorney Bill Gladson.

"This monster committed the most heinous crimes imaginable against innocent children," said Attorney General James Uthmeier. "We promised to bring the absolute maximum penalty under the law, and bringing these additional charges is part of fulfilling that promise. I commend our Statewide Special Task Force for leaving no stone unturned in this twisted case of cruelty."

In November 2025, Holmberg was indicted by a Hernando County grand jury on 25 felony counts, including seven counts of capital sexual battery on a child under 12. As of 2023, these charges are eligible for the death penalty in Florida. This case required the creation of a special statewide task force to overcome jurisdictional boundaries.

In addition to facing the death penalty, these new charges bring the possibility of up to ten life sentences.

The additional charges filed in Pinellas County are 39 counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, 7 counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on a Child Under 12, and 1 count of Video Voyeurism.

This case will be handled by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
