Redeem your Fall Quarter benefit code to ride the WTA bus system

September 19, 2025

All WWU students and employees have access to an unlimited ride bus pass on Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) and Skagit Transit fixed routes. To activate a bus pass, each rider will need to redeem a benefit code in the Umo Mobility app. Redeeming your benefit code is quick and easy, instructions can be found on Transportation Services' website.

Students: Each quarter you have paid the Active Transportation Fee you will receive an email with details to redeem your personal benefit code, which is kept secure on Banner. For quarters you are not automatically assessed the Active Transportation Fee, you can opt-in online.

Employees: You will receive a quarterly email with details to redeem your personal benefit code which is kept secure on Banner.

Transportation Services has a limited number of physical Umo Mobility cards to issue out to those who do not have a smartphone that is compatible with the Umo Mobility App. Anyone can opt to get a physical Umo Mobility card from WTA's downtown station for $3.

For questions on how to redeem your quarterly benefit code or to get a physical Umo Mobility card, please visit Transportation Services Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Old Main 120, or email the associate director of Active Transportation at [email protected].
