Laurel Fire


The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a residential structure fire that was reported on November 15, 2025 shortly after 9:30 PM in the 32000 block of Sussex Highway Laurel, Delaware.

The Laurel Fire Department and assisting mutual aid fire companies arrived on scene and found a single family dwelling structure with fire and smoke showing. The structure was occupied at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to make access into the burning structure and remove an unresponsive male Victim. Firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel immediately started life saving measures and transported the Victim to Tidal Health Nanticoke Hospital. The Victim is currently in critical condition.

Delaware Deputy State Fire Marshals responded to the scene and conducted an origin and cause investigation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage is estimated at $80000. There were no other reported injuries.
